Animo’s Scan module includes ScanLevel and ScanBackground
ScanLevel : provides an intuitive interface for scanning line drawings. Key features of ScanLevel include:
- Off-peg, autofeed and peg bar scanning.
- Color line scanning – Drawings can be scanned in color to provide line-color information for ink-and-paint applications.
- Drawings can be moved, copied, deleted, re-numbered and peg positions can be easily edited.
- Image data such as TIFF files can be imported from other software into Animo ScanLevel for inking and painting.
- Replayer provides an easy playback mechanism for checking scanned drawings.
- Full-quality 8-bit grey scale scans.
- TWAIN, ISIS (Windows only) and Image Capture (Mac OS X only) scanner driver support.
ScanBackground : provides the tools for scanning backgrounds, overlays and layouts. It allows for scanning and splicing of color or black-and-white drawn and painted images. Key features of ScanBackground include:
- Backgrounds are automatically registered with line drawings that have been scanned using ScanLevel.
- Oversized panning drawings can be scanned in sections and easily spliced together.
- Variations in brightness and color among several scanned sections can be corrected.
- Easy creation of transparent background for scanned overlays.
- Backgrounds can be saved as multi-resolution tiled files to maximize speed when compositing and rendering scenes.
- TWAIN, ISIS (Windows only) and Image Capture (Mac OS X only) scanner driver support.
