SFX Module
The SFX module includes multiplane camera and special effects filters. In addition to 2D transformations, users can set up and adjust complex multiplane effects to simulate movement in different perspectives.

Key features of the SFX module include:
  • The depth can be set for a multiplane camera and all the scene elements.
  • The multiplane camera lens angle can be interactively altered.
  • In multiplane scenes, all camera and element positions can be keyframed and automatically in-betweened.
  • Key frames can be ratioed to allow camera or characters to track one another or to link effects together proportionally.
  • All effects and elements are represented as nodes. Users can make macros of effects created by combining multiple nodes.

Vector painting and drawing tools allow users to automatically create in-betweened mattes, animated props and special effects, as well as color blending and blurred effects. EPS and text import are turned into Animo vectors, which can be animated and automatically in-betweened.

Filters in the SFX module include:
  • Lighting – backlighting, highlighting and colored gels.
  • Blur – directional, bi-directional and motion blur. This range of filters can be used to simulate pulling focus, motion blur and speed lines.
  • Ripple – grid, wave and radial rippling effects.
  • Arithmetic – basic image processing functions for SFX cross fades, etc.
  • Gamma, Contrast and TV Gamut – tools for controlling output color.
