CAS have offered to award a prize of professional software to the film maker who produces the 'Best Animation made with Animo' at the International Animation Festival in Norwich, October 23 – 26.

The prize consists of the Animo 5.0 Professional Bundle plus extended benefits of one year's hotline and upgrade support worth £4,500!

Animo, developed and marketed by Cambridge Animation Systems (www.cambridgeanimation.com), has an installed base of more than 3,000 seats in nearly 60 countries, offering excellent opportunities to studios throughout the world to work with international partners. Animo software is used for feature films, television series, commercials, games and multimedia development by leading studios worldwide, including DreamWorks SKG, Nelvana Limited, Production IG, Yoram Gross, Uli Meyer, UTV Toons, Telemagination, Praxinos and Colorland.

Naomi English, Global Sales Manager for Cambridge Animation Systems said "We are supporting the UK Student Category by offering our 2D Animo commercial software for the 'Best Animation made with Animo' because we feel very strongly about supporting our local animators and this is our opportunity to help our students turn their animation dreams into a commercial reality."

Festival Director Rose Hanna said "This is a fantastic opportunity for the aspiring animator who wins. Advanced knowledge of the software will make them even more employable, and if they wish to work freelance or set up on their own, the fact that they own the software will remove some of the start-up costs which might otherwise be prohibitive." She added "We at Film Arts Norwich are very excited about working with Cambridge Animation Systems in the future".
