Hardware Requirements - Workstations

Animo does not require high-specification hardware, but a faster processor and more memory (RAM) will help to make operation more efficient.

PC Basic Specification
  • 733MHz Intel Pentium III/IV or AMD Athlon Processor
  • Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional (some functionality is limited under Windows NT)
  • 256 MB RAM
  • Three-button mouse
  • Graphics card capable of running in true color mode (24/32 bits) at 1280x1024 pixels

Macintosh Basic Specification
  • 667MHz G4 Processor
  • Mac OS X 10.2 or later
  • 512 MB RAM
  • Three-button USB mouse (e.g. Logitech Pilot Wheel Mouse) - this is essential for Animo use

    Output Devices
    Animo supports many digital disk recorders. We recommend the dpsReality.

    Additional Hardware
    You may also find the following useful for your studio:
    • Graphics tablet (e.g. Wacom) for faster painting
    • Color-calibrated monitor (e.g. Barco) for accurate color styling
