Requirements - Scanners
Drivers
Animo offers a
'Native TWAIN' scanning mode, which uses the TWAIN driver's
own user interface. This means that Animo is compatible
with virtually all scanners with a TWAIN
driver.
Mac OS X
Macintosh
TWAIN drivers must be 'Mac OS X native' for use with Animo
– 'Classic mode' drivers are not
suitable.
Animo 6.0 and Animo 5.0 (Patch 1658) include support for
Image Capture scanner drivers, including the TWAIN Bridge
on OS X 10.2 and the EPSON Scanner on OS X
10.3.
If your scanner does not yet have a Mac OS X native TWAIN
or Image Capture driver you can scan using the software
supplied with the scanner and then import the scanned
images into Animo, or you can scan into Animo on Windows
and transfer the files to your
Macintosh.
A future patch release for Animo will offer support for
SANE drivers on Mac OS X when a stable release of
SANE is available.
Windows
Animo supports
both TWAIN and ISIS drivers on Windows.
